It is hard to believe that while on a break in this beautiful relaxing environment I have had some fears pop up. The first of these involved my baggage, which went missing. While I was reassured by the Jetstar staff that it would arrive in Townsville and be couriered to the island, four days later it still hadn’t arrived. The fear of never seeing it again certainly arose.

Each year, as Mother’s Day comes around in Australia, I am reminded that it provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our mothers and the ‘mothering’ each and every one of us does. Happy Mother’s Day, everyone!

I had my second last chemo treatment on Thursday April 9th, so that is 5 down and only one to go. It is a certainly an up and down time, but thanks to the wonderful support I have received from staff at Cabrini, friends and family, it is made so much easier. 

I feel like I have embarked on two separate road trips this year – the first being my bladder diagnosis and treatment, and the second being my draft-to-completed-book road trip.
